Venezuela Appoints New Citizen Power

Caracas, Dec 13 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela National Assembly appointed the new members of Citizen Power of the South American nation, conformed by the People's Advocate and the Public Prosecutor.

Clodosvaldo Russian was ratified as Comptroller, deputy Gabriela Ramirez was appointed People's Advocate and Luisa Ortega Diaz was chosen as Public Prosecutor, all for a period of seven years.

The proposals were made among 124 postulates, by a Committee of Assessment of Postulations of Citizen Power with three candidates each position.

Citizen Power is constitutionally executed by Moral Republican Council made up of the People's Advocate and the Public Prosecutor and General Comptroller, who are in charge of preventing, investigating and sanctioning those events that put at risk the public ethic and the administrative moral.
